Most skill libraries are built for one tool. You grab a pack of Claude Code skills, they live in ~/.claude/skills/, and if you switch to Cursor or Windsurf next week, you start over. alirezarezvani/claude-skills takes a different bet: one curated library, converted and installed across whichever of the 13 supported agents you happen to be using.
What It Is
It's 388 production-ready skill files covering a wide range of domains: engineering workflows, marketing copy, product specs, compliance reviews, financial analysis, and executive advisory. The library ships conversion scripts that transform the skills into the format each target tool expects — so the same named-persona-adversarial-review skill that runs in Claude Code can be converted for Gemini CLI, Aider, or Windsurf without manually rewriting the prompt structure. There's also a security auditor that scans skills for malicious instructions before installation, which is a legitimately useful thing to have when you're dropping external files directly into your agent's instruction path.
A Few Skills Worth Calling Out
The `named-persona-adversarial-review` runs code review through competing philosophical lenses — useful for surfacing disagreement on architecture decisions rather than getting one opinion dressed up as consensus. `skillopt-sleep` runs autonomous overnight self-improvement loops on your own Claude Code session logs (vendored from a Microsoft project). The Research Operations suite covers clinical, financial, market, and product research with compliance gates and human-review checkpoints. The depth on individual skills varies, but the more focused ones are genuinely better than ad hoc prompting.
The Honest Caveat
388 skills is also the main problem. There's no guided onboarding — you're expected to browse folders and self-select. The Claude Code install path is clean (one /plugin marketplace add line), but getting the library working in Cursor, Aider, or Windsurf requires cloning the repo and running conversion scripts, which is several more steps than the README headline implies. On Windows the setup requires Developer Mode and an environment variable that many devs won't have set. And realistically, most people will install all 388 and use maybe a dozen — the library rewards people who invest time to explore it, and punishes those who expect plug-and-play breadth to pay off immediately.
# Claude Code — install via plugin marketplace
